Ethical Recycling

Firstly, we don’t like throwing anything away, and everything we clear is recycled one way or another. We are fully licenced waste carriers and brokers, and as such nothing we clear is taken to local rubbish tips or landfills. Anything we clear that can’t be rehomed, donated or sold is taken instead to a commercial recycling plant where it is stripped down to component levels to ensure little is wasted.

During a typical property clearance if we find anything which can be reused or recycled, we try to find it a new home, usually to deserving local causes and charities where possible. Good quality furniture and a wide range of smaller items will typically be donated to local charity or welfare groups where possible. In the case of higher value items with genuine resale values, we are happy to discuss buying them from you to reduce your clearance costs, or assist with their sale on your behalf, particularly in the case of probate clearances. Any items that need to be disposed of are dealt with ethically in accordance with the terms of our waste carrier’s licence.
